Just wanted to share..

As I am working in my pergola (my studio) at the back of the house, doing my concrete sculpting, I raised my head and saw how beautiful mother nature is and how lucky I am to be able to see all of this every day and especially today. It is sunny outside, comfortably warm, the bees, the butterfly, the dragonflies all around me going about their different business!

And then I thought about all the people who are not as lucky as I am, who never in their whole life would experience this and then I thought of my friends on GT and decided to share!

The first views are through the mosquito netting:

for these I did step out

Eklectic, your property is so amazing. I wish so much to be able to start again on a new patch of land, because I love creating/doing it so much. You definitely have “a little bit of heaven.”

Keep us posted as to how the pergola / studio is coming along. You have me quite interested.

Beautiful.
And you’re so right, Eklectic, we all need to just take the occasional moment to appreciate the wonders around us.
Thanks for showing us some of yours.

Thank you both!
jroot: the pergola is my studio! I have 2 big tables that we built out of recycled doors. Every year we say”Next year” but I usually put it on the back burner when comes spring because I really enjoy being outside.

And this is my “studio” where I do my concrete sculpting!

Yes, I have to admit I am envious of your beautiful, wooded land. You are indeed fortunate to be able to enjoy all this beauty on a daily basis. I have loved all the photos you have taken and shared with us … since your joining GT. I’ve come to feel like I am almost there with you … thank you for that!! :-)

E, I probably don’t see as many trees in an entire day as you see right outside your studio! LOL…

Eklectic,
What a beautiful place you have! The one thing I miss more than anything are the trees. Plans down the road are to adda small fruit tree grove to the un-treed lot in my photo’s. Growing up we lived on 42 acres of of mostly wooded land in Missouri. It was so beautiful! Oh how I miss the trees! The hubby is a great woodworker, so we passed up the trees for a larger area for his wood shop! That was definately a downfall on our part.
Wound love to see some of your sculpting as well! Please do share when you get some time. The studio looks like a wonderful place to spend some quality time creating! Absolutely georgous!
